Sr. Data Engineer

Job Overview:
Responsible for designing and developing processes that translate data from various sources to destinations and presents
findings to appropriate team members, clients, and vendors. Escalate concerns to management, determines best practices and
provides suggestions on how to improve current practices. Serves as a member for the ETL group and supports management
and other team members.
Job Responsibilities
• Design, implement and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) data pipelines.
• Engage in the overall team’s tasks related to Data Update Cycle
• Communicate data insights and give recommendations to engineering and product teams.
• Work on ad-hoc and urgent data/report requests on a timely manner.
• Work with Operations team to understand the Data Update Process and identify items for Automation.
• Understand and work on different formats in healthcare data i.e.: HL7, BCDA
• Regularly attend Backlog Grooming session with Team and Scrum Masters for new requirements.
• Train, build resources as per new technology and domain needs.
• Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions.
• During and after your employment you will be responsible for protection and uses of “Personal Data”, “Customer Personal
Data” “Business Contact Data”, “Privacy Laws” “Intercompany Agreement” “ISMS”, “HIPAA” and any other information
relevant to you during terms of employment.
Professional Qualities/Skills
Technical Skills:
• Experience in ETL Process and Backend Database development tools and technologies.
• 4+ years’ experience in any of the following technologies: MSSQL, SSIS, ETL, PostgreSQL, MS-APS, Power BI.
• Possess strong SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.).
• Hold good Data Modeling experience and concepts.
• 2+ years of hands-on working experience with SSIS packages and source control
• Working experience with Agile development methodologies
• Good ETL knowledge with Real Time jobs, batch jobs, scheduling.
• Good data analysis experience in SQL, analyzing redundant/ inconsistent data, diagramming data flows and process flows.
• Aptitude towards learning new technologies and solving complex problem.
Soft Skills:
• Learning aptitude with attention to detail.
• Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
