As a Principal Release Engineer / Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be the engineering lead for our most critical CI/CD, release, and infrastructure automation initiatives. A technologist at heart, you are passionate about building scalable, reliable, and secure delivery pipelines. You will be responsible for collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline software delivery, improve system observability, and optimize deployment strategies to accelerate product delivery with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on DevOps pipelines to support continuous delivery and continuous integration processes.
- Perform build/deploy activities for solution releases into Dev, Test, UAT, Staging and Production.
- Support, maintain, and monitor internal and external applications on multiple platforms.
- Reverse engineer an existing production set-up in AWS and automating deployment processes for dev, test, qa environments.
- Experience deploying back-end services for mobile apps is preferred.
- Manage source control and version control, including DevOps with GitLab.
- Implement CI/CD using pipeline setup/deployment in AWS cloud.
- Implement Dependency Management.
Professional Qualities/Skills
Technical Skills:
- DevOps pipelines with Dynamo DB’s, Cognito Pools, S3 bucket, Pinpoint, OpenSearch, RDS DB , VPC and SecretManagers, lambda functions.
- Python is preferred.
- Kubernetes (Helm, Linkerd, etc.) is a plus.
- Terraform is a plus.
- CI/CD (GitHub/GitLab).
- Kubernetes tooling (cert-manager, ArgoCD, Velero, Prometheus, etc.) is a plus.
- Cloud Native Experience, Networking Domain Expertise is a plus.
- Cloud Provisioning and Management (AWS preferred).
- TLS Certificate Management is a plus.
- Helm Charts for container deployment is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- A self-starter, able structure the work and manage own tasks.
- Learning aptitude with attention to detail.
- Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, US-based client experience a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to deliver under tight and short deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a relevant field with 8+ years of experience.
